Mahi Mahi is considered to be the healthiest fish that promotes health with its nutritional value. This fish helps to lower the chances of heart problems, cancer, counteract inflammation, reduces signs of aging, maintain healthy nerves and cell functions.

This species of fish has a very distinguishable appearance. Its head is quite tall and flat, particularly in males, giving it a squared appearance. It has blue-green scales along its back and yellow scales on its sides and underbelly.

The mahi mahi is wild-caught and sourced from the coastal waters in Baja California Mexico. Each fillet is individually quick frozen and vacuum-packed to best preserve its freshness. Because it's Individually Quick Frozen (IQF), this product retains its natural flavor and freshness; the IQF process involves flash-freezing each individual fillet directly after it is harvested from the sea. This quick freezing process produces small ice crystals, which limits the damage caused to the fibers of the meat, especially when compared to conventional freezing methods.

Mahi-mahi has a mild sweet taste, making it popular in American, Japanese, Latin restaurants.
